Beginner – If you had little driving practice, you may need to look at our Gold / Platinum range of courses. Beginner courses ranging from 35 – 50 hours are suitable for new candidates who are keen to start off on the right path of driving. These courses are designed to help you pass your driving test quicker than conventional weekly driving lessons. Typically, these courses can be 2 – 3 weeks long depending on a few circumstances. We advise booking early to ensure you have first pickings of ideal dates.

Intermediate – If you have had a driving experience or driving practice before, you may be ready to take our driving test. Thus, this intermediate course will be your weapon to becoming an unusual calibre driver.

Experienced – Our Bronze courses are most suitable for experienced drivers. If you need a quick refresher course because for some reason you have failed your driving test, these courses will help crack on with your test. If you have lots of training and have not had much test training either, these courses are good to overview your driving and go over areas of weakness prior to your driving test.

Around Caterham are other places/settlements such as Woldingham, Whyteleafe, Chaldon, Warlingham, Chelsham, Old Coulsdon, Netherne-on-the-Hill, Hooley, Goldstone & Merstham. Historically, Caterham was known to be the location of the Caterham Mental Hospital now known as the Saint Lawrence’s Hospital, a very large establishment for the treatment of the mentally ill.

Caterham does not have its own test centre. So when taking your driving test you will need to travel to another town with which you can take your driving test. You can travel to Croydon and Crawley. Although these centres are far from Caterham, your instructor will take you to these places when it comes to your test. The goal of taking your driving test is to make you safe and help you become a confident driver and the exam will only test your ability.

Passing your theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without it, taking a practical test is impossible. We put as much emphasis on the theory as we do the practical. 

Caterham does not have its own theory test centre, if you live here, you will be needing to travel to other settlements to take your test. You can take your test in a nearby test centre that would be situated in Croydon.

With all our courses, we don’t mind if you have not passed your theory yet. We like to take on learners who have not got their theory as we believe it’s just as important as the practical test. All driving courses above 20 hours will feature a free retest if you don’t pass the first time!
