Establishing which course you need is vital to ensure you’re prepared for your driving test. If you’re unsure about which course is best for you, here is a guide on what to look for depending on your current circumstance. Below is a brief description of 3 levels and one of these will apply to you dependant on your current driving background. Beginner – If you’re turning 17 soon and you have very little driving practice or have never driven a car before, you may look at our Gold / Platinum range of courses. Beginner courses are suitable for the new candidates who are keen to start off on the right path of driving. We advise you to book in advance to secure more preferable test dates!
Intermediate – Are you frustated because you’ve been driving on and off lately? Our Silver intensive courses may be best for you. These courses are designed to help you catch up to where you are currently at and help you continue your driving journey to the very end. We will help you go over the all-important driving test sheets to have a better chance of passing your test.
Experienced – Have you driven abroad and need to transfer to a UK licence or do you need to pass your driving test as you have one booked? No matter what your situation is, we can help. Our Bronze courses are curated to make all learner drivers test standard before they go to test. We can book in the hours around your schedule and book your practical test for the end of your course too.

When taking your driving test, Edgware does not have a test centre itself. It will require you to travel to other towns or test centres when taking your test. The nearest test centres are located in Watford and Uxbridge. Although they are far from Edgware, your instructor will take you to these places when it comes to your test.
When doing your intensive course, the goal isn’t about the test, the aim is to make you a safe and confident driver and the test is there to only test your ability.

Passing the theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without taking the theory test, booking a practical test is impossible. Here at LPOD Academy, we are putting as much emphasis on the theory as we do with the practical.
All of our intensive driving courses in Edgware, include a theory test to help you pass it before you start your intensive courses.

Do you advise booking early?
The earlier, the better. When you book early, you can choose better dates that work for you. It also gives us better chances of finding you the ideal test date.
Are there breaks in the training?
Breaks are part of the training too! Your driving instructor will keep an eye on your progress at all times.
What happens if I fail my driving test?
If you failed your test, the first thing we will do is rebook you a test. We will book you another test asap depending on your booking. Your driving instructor will assess how many extra lessons you will need prior to taking your next test.
When I completed my course, is my deposit refundable?
The deposit is part of the whole course cost. We will be able to arrange if you wanted to cancel outside of the course cancellation conditions.
What happens if my course is affected by a pandemic or something similar?
This will depend on the nature of what’s affecting your course. If such things were to happen, we will always have material on our website that will explain the process.
