In Ellon, securing your driver’s license involves a journey beyond the town’s borders, as it lacks its own test centre. Instead, aspiring drivers must venture to neighbouring towns like Peterhead and Huntly to undertake their driving test.

While these centre may seem distant, rest assured that your dedicated instructor will accompany you every step of the way, ensuring you’re well-prepared and confident on test day. The ultimate aim of the driving test is to not only assess your driving skills but also to instil in you a sense of safety and confidence behind the wheel.

Passing your theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without it, taking a practical test is impossible. We put as much emphasis on the theory as we do the practical.

Ellon does not have its own theory test centre, if you live here, you will require travel to other settlements to take your test. You can take your test in a nearby test centre that would be situated in Peterhead.

With all our courses offered here in LPOD Academy, we don’t mind if you have not passed your theory yet. We like to take on learners who have not got their theory as we believe it’s just as important as the practical test.
