Epsom is a market town in the South-West London with a population of 33,000 people. Learning to drive in Epsom will give you lots of varied road layouts, multi-lane roundabouts and dual carriageway driving experiences. Once you have mastered the basics of driving, you will venture out on to more busy roads such as the A24, where you will increase your speed and gain experience of high-speed driving. As part of your driving course, your driving instructor may encourage an out-of-town driving session. A typical area of interest to drive to maybe to Ashtead, Banstead and Esher.
As part of your training, you will need to learn how to drive on rural roads and country lanes. Driving through remote areas presents a very different style of learning opportunities. Not only will you be able to really get some hands-on experience using a sat nav, but you will also build up other skills such as route planning, watching out for developing hazards and you will encounter more road signs and markings. Such local areas that you may travel to may include Tadworth, Banstead, Ashtead, Esher, Surbiton, Coulsdon, Merstham, Reigate, Chipstead, Mugswell, Oxshott, Lower Kingswood, Headley, Cobham.
During the last few hours of your course, your driving instructor will plan your test training, to incorporate test routes and mock driving tests. Once you feel ready and confident, you will take your practical driving test.
