Driving On The Roads In Radcliffe

When you start your crash driving course in Radcliffe, the area is mostly residential with many streets being terraced housing with short junctions and blind corners. Driving in these areas will make you be aware of pedestrians waling in between parked cars and you will take more care around blind corners, you will use the ‘peep and creep’ technique.

Radcliffe is situated in the metrolitan area of Bury, Greater Manchester. With a population of 29,950 in the 2011 census, the town is a moderate size and traffic can be high during peak times but manageble during the other times of the day.

Radcliffe is also near other towns like Prestwich, Bury & Farnworth. Which gives you plenty more areas to practice on. Your driving instructor in Radcliffe will introduce you other areas nearby to help hone in your driving skills.

How Are Crash Driving Courses In Radcliffe Set?

The most important step is to discover which course is best for you prior to starting. We base all our courses on the DVSA’s recommendation of 47 hours and half of that again in private practice to become test standard. With courses ranging from 10 – 50 hours, there is a course for you that will benefit you. You can see which course you need by visiting our courses page here.

If you are looking at doing a Silver 30 or above, generally these take 2 weeks to complete with a practical test booked at the end of the course either on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of the second week. Courses below 25 hours can be done in a week if test waiting times are good and you are able to pass your theory test or have passed your theory in time.

During a typical training session, your driving instructor will show you all of the necessary techniques to drive. They will cover everything from pulling off and stopping to the infamous parrel park manoeuvre. And then once you have mastered the basics, you will start to focus on the test itself.
