When preparing for your driving test, don’t expect much of your training to focus on Ramsbottom solely. You will become familiar with the town when you are a beginner or a semi-experienced learner in the first part of your course. But as the nearest driving test centre is based in Bury or Bolton, expect the latter half of your course to be focused in these areas when preparing for your driving test. If you need to do your theory test as part of your course, we will book your theory test in your local theory test centre. Upon booking your course, you will be asked to provide, when it’s convenient for you to take your theory test so we can book it in place for you without it clashing with your busy schedule.

As soon as you pass your theory test, a practical test booking will be made at your local driving test centre. Our aim is then to find you a cancellation for the end of your course or to be within at least one week of your last training day. We cannot guarantee practical test dates but we don’t stop looking until you’re happy with your test date.

When you feel ready to take your practical test, your driving instructor in Ramsbottom will help prepare you to pass your test first time. If your a brand new learner and you did our Gold course, you can expect to prepare for your test in the second week of your course or if you booked a smaller course, then you could expect to do your test preparation within the same week.

Part of the driving test, you will be required to follow directions from the Satnav on your test route. During your drive, your examiner will ask you to perform a manoeuvre at some point. These may include doing a parallel park, bay park or pulling up on the right-hand side of the road. You’re only required to one of these manoeuvres.
