Rochdale historically was a boom town during the boom of the industrial revolution and was one of the first industrialised towns in the UK. It has also been the centre of woollen trade in the late 18th century and got the nickname “remarkable for many wealthy merchants”. Roads will of been tight and wide to accommodate such advancements in a short period of time.
Rochdale is near the M62 Motorway and the A627 Motorway at the Thornham interchange. As a large town, Rochdale is, there will be high congestion throughout most part of the day and even more during the peak times like rush hour traffic. Near, are other towns you can go to practice on in places such as Oldham, Bury and Manchester.
