What's it Like Driving In Whitefield?

Driving in Whitefield will provide you with many opportunities to practice on residential roads, roundabouts, dual-carriageways and busy shopping areas to help you practice what a qualified driver would experience on a daily basis. With Whitefield situated north of the M60 motorway, it provides easy access for local residents to get around Greater Manchester more easily.

As Whitefiled is a medium-sized town with a population of 20,000+ (in 2001) it can have moderate levels of traffic in the centre of the town and on major roads such as the Bury New Road or the A56. Not only will you train in Whitefield, but you could also go to other towns such as Radcliffe, Bury and do some of your crash course in Manchester to do some training.

With the M60 to the south, it won’t take you long to get to the Manchester outer ring road which connects you to the M66 to the north, M62 going to the east and the M60 continuing south. Perfect opportunity to practice on high-speed roads as now learner drivers can learn on motorways with a qualified driving instructor!

Driving Courses In Whitefield With LPOD Academy

Our crash driving courses will be conducted on the week you selected upon booking. The length of time a course takes does depend on the number of hours you have booked. If you booked a course above 30 hours, we typically do it over 2 weeks as opposed to one week. With shorter courses, your training is typically done when your test is confirmed and booked in place so you have an aim to work towards.

Your driving instructor in Whitefield will teach everything in the driving syllabus. If you struggle on a particular topic, do inform your instructor so that you can focus more on a topic that you are not so confident in! Once you have mastered all of the topics, then your course will be geared towards preparing for your test.

If you find you have built a list of bad habits when driving, make sure you bring these to light to your instructor as you will be informed of the proper technique. If for example, cross your arms on a steering wheel, that is a habit that must be addressed as that can be marked down as a major on your test!

Taking A Driving Test In Whitefield

As Whitefield does not have a driving test centre in the town, your options are taking a test in Bury or in Cheetham Hill. Most learners would prefer to go to Bury as it’s closer but if test dates are not feasible, then booking a test in Cheetham Hill test centre would have to be considered.

We will help cover everything you need to know before you go to your driving test. We have a Youtube channel full of driving test tutorial videos for you to watch! Good luck with your test!
