Establishing which course you need is vital to ensure you’re prepared for your driving test. If you’re unsure about which course is best for you, then here is a brief guide on what to look for, depending on your current circumstance. Below is a brief description of 3 levels and one of these will apply to you dependant on your current driving background. Beginner – If you have no or very little driving experience a car, then you may need to look at our Platinum / Gold courses. These are designed to help you cover all of the driving topics and go from A – Z in the driving syllabus. Usually, these courses will last over 2 or more weeks. If you need to book time off or have limited time for these courses, then booking in advanced is better as you can secure more preferable dates!

Intermediate – If you have some practice or had lessons a while ago, then you are almost there & ready to take a test. But a medium-sized course will help close the gap between from where you’re currently at to becoming test standard.

Experienced – Courses for experienced drivers usually need our Bronze courses. If you have failed a driving test and need a quick refresher course to crack on with your test, then this is right for you. If you have lots of training and not had much test training either, these courses are good to overview your driving and go over any bad habits, areas of weakness, prior to your driving test.

Yarm is based on the TS15 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Around Yarm are other places/settlements such as Dalton, Crathorne, Kirklevington, Low Worsall, High Worsall, Hutton Rudby, Sexhow, Hilton, Hemlington & Carlton-in-Cleveland. Yarm, also referred to as Yarm-on-Tees, is a market town in Stockton-on-Tees North Yorkshire. It has a population of 8,384 residents in the town. Historically, Yarm was the most important town and port on the River Tees. It is home to brewers, ropemakers, nailers, tanners, clockmakers, and shipbuilders.

In 1207, King John granted the town a weekly market and two annual fairs and from then on Yarm’s prosperity grew.

Taking a driving test will require travelling to Huddersfield or Heckmondwike test centres. Although these are far from your home town of Holmfirth, all our courses will include the instructor taking you to your practical test at these centres!

Passing your theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without it, taking a practical test is impossible. We put as much emphasis on the theory as we do the practical. Typically, a learner will purchase a theory guide or download a theory app and that would be enough. But sometimes it won’t suffice and it can lead to not passing the theory test in any desirable time frames.

So as part of all our intensive courses in Holmfirth, learners like yourself will be able to access our free theory course included with all bookings. It’s a video-based theory course to help you become more confident with the theory test!

Holmfirth does not have a theory test centre itself. The nearest theory test centre would be situated in Huddersfield.
