Driving On The Roads In Exeter

Exeter is a large city in the South West Of England. It is the Cathedral City of Devon. Just by the M5, the A30 and A38. The population is 125,000 people and has a complex one-way system throughout the city centre. It is home to Europe’s largest car plant and is a stone’s throw away from the seaside town of Exmouth. Learning to drive in Exeter will give you lots of challenges and experiences when it comes to learning to drive. Your initial driving lessons will take place in the quieter suburbs. Once you get more experienced, you will venture out into more challenging roads and the city centre. As part of your training, you may visit other places such as Sidmouth, Plymouth and Exmouth.

Learning to drive in Exeter will equip you with city driving skills. The traffic congestion can be quite high at peak traffic times, and negotiating complex roundabouts will certainly give you military-style boot camp training session. However, the driving test centre is on the edge of city. The driving test routes tend to congregate away from the inner city roads. With lots of country lanes and quieter suburbs to test your skills. Since the changes, out-of-town driving tends to be to the North-East and North-West of the city. Once you have gained the necessary skills and are more confident, your driving instructor will plan your training to familiarise yourself with the local area. These areas may include Longdown, Exminster, Topsham, Clyst St Mary, Kennford, Broadclyst, Silverton, Cowley, Yeoford, Moretonhampstead, Rockbeare, Cullompton, Ottery St Mary, Sidbury, East Budleigh, Chagford, Otterton, Okehampton, Hatherleigh, Chittlehampton and Exbourne.

During the last few hours of your intensive driving course in Exeter, your driving instructor will take you on some tests routes and help prepare you for your driving test. Once, you have become familiar they will conduct some mock tests to help prepare you for your driving test.
