When booking a driving course, it’s very important to make sure you know what course suits your driving skill. We believe all learners are at different stages in their driving progress. Beginner – You may look at our Gold / Platinum courses if you are just about to start your driving journey. At LPOD Academy, we have flexible courses for nervous drivers. These courses are ranging from 35 – 50 hours. These are suited for learners who have very little driving practice, or even those who have never driven before. 

Intermediate – If you stopped your driving practice before for some reason, you may want to continue your driving journey by booking our Silver Courses. These courses will help you discover all the driving techniques and go over that all-important driving test sheet!

Experienced – Our Bronze courses will suit you best if you have recently failed your test and looking for a course to assess your current driving ability. These courses will help you keep the momentum going especially if you have failed a test. Your driving instructor will help you become the best version of yourself for your test.

Westhoughton is based on the BL5 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Around Westhoughton are other places/settlements such as Bolton, Hart Common, Over Hulton, Lostock, Middlebrook, Burnden, Middlebrook, Atherton, Howe Bridge & Little Hulton. Our driving school in Westhoughton is designed to give our learner drivers the very best start to life on the road. 

Westhoughton does not have a test centre itself. Taking your practical test will require you to travel to other nearby test centres that would be located in Bolton and there is one in St Helens too. Prior to taking your test, your driving instructor will take you to these test centres.

To make sure you’re test standard and are familiar with the area is the main goal with every intensive course. To know more about the different test centres, please consider browsing through our practical test centres index page.

Westhoughton does not have its own theory test centre, this will require travel to the nearby test centres that would be situated in Bolton. You cannot book a practical until you’ve passed the theory test, that’s why taking a theory test is very important.

With all our driving courses in Westhoughton, we don’t mind if you have not passed your theory yet. We like to take on learners who have not got their theory as we believe it’s just as important as the practical test.

With all our driving courses above 20 hours, we will feature a free retest if you don’t pass your driving the first time.
