Beginner – If you’re turning 17 soon and you have very little driving practice or have never driven a car before, we got your back. We have our Gold / Platinum range of courses which are suitable for a new candidate like yourself who is keen to start off on the right path of driving. If you need to book time off or have limited time for these courses, to secure more preferable dates, we advise booking in advance.

Intermediate – Our Silver courses may be best for you if you have some practice before or had lessons a while ago. These courses are designed to help you pick up where you left off so you can continue your driving journey. While the course has covered all the driving topics you’ve struggled with, then you will have better chances of passing the test and get on the road soon.

Experienced – Have you failed your driving test recently or have done lots of driving lessons in the past? Our Bronze courses will suit you best. These courses will help you keep the momentum going especially if you have failed a test. Your driving instructor will help you become the best version of yourself for your test.

Carlton is based on the NG4 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Around Carlton are other places/settlements such as Nottingham, Mapperley, Sherwood, New Basford, Lambley, Wicketwood Hill, Gedling, Netherfield, Adbolton & Colwick. How you do on your test is the main reason for passing your driving test. No course is guaranteed, but throughout your course, you will gradually become better and better.

Taking your practical test will require you to travel to other nearby towns as Carlton has no local test centre itself. There are test centres situated in Leicester and there is one in  Chesterfield too. Prior to taking your test, your driving instructor will take you at these test centres.

You cannot book a practical until you’ve passed the theory test, that’s why taking a theory test is very important. Carlton does not have its own theory test centre, this will require you to travel to the nearby test centres if you plan to take your test. You may travel to the nearest test centre that would be situated in Mansfield.

With all our courses, we don’t mind if you have not passed your theory yet. We like to take on learners who have not got their theory as we believe it’s just as important as the practical test.

If you don’t pass the first time, all driving courses above 20 hours will feature a free retest.
