Desborough is a small town in Northamptonshire. With a population of 10,000 residents, the roads in Desborough are narrow, rural and full of country lanes. During your intensive driving course in Desborough, your driving instructor will conduct your training driving lessons in the local area. Once you have gained the skills on the first level, you will advance your driving skills to visit other places like Rothwell, Corby and Kettering.
Your nearest driving test centre is located in Kettering. You will take training there to develop your knowledge of the local area. Rest assured you will also become familiar with other local attractions. These places may include Thorpe Underwood, Harrington, Arthingworth, Pipewell, Harrington, Rothwell, Burton Latimer, East Farndon, Geddington, Foxton, Weekley, Glendon, Loddington, Cottingham, Dingley, Great Bowden, Stanion, Geddington, Brigstock, Weldon and Clipston.
Nearer the latter stages of your course, your instructor will reserve the last few hours of your course to the city your test is based in. In most cases, Oxford will be the main test centre where you will undertake a practical test at the end of your one-week intensive course in Abingdon. As Oxford is a large city, it will mostly compromise of meeting traffic situations, traffic calming measures, complex roundabouts, junctions and dual-carriageways.
