Learning which course is best for you is vital to ensure you have better chances of passing your driving test. If you’re unsure about which course do you need, here is a brief guide on what to look for. Below is a brief description of 3 levels and one of these will apply to you dependant on your current driving background. Beginner – If you have no experience in driving a car, then our Platinum / Gold courses are best for you. These courses are designed to help you cover all of the driving topics and help you become a test standard. These courses will last over 2 or more weeks. Booking in advance is better if you have limited time for these courses. You can secure more preferable dates by booking early!

Intermediate – If you have some practice or had lessons a while ago, then our Silver courses may be the best for you. These courses are designed to help you pick up where you left off so you can continue your driving journey. While the course has covered all the driving topics you’ve struggled with, then you will have better chances of passing the test and get on the road soon.

Experienced – Our Bronze courses are most suitable for experienced drivers. If you need a quick refresher course because for some reason you have failed your driving test, these courses will help crack on with your test. If you have lots of training and not had much test training either, these courses are good to overview your driving and go over areas of weakness prior to your driving test.

Forfar is based on the DD8 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Around Forfar are other places/settlements such as Letham, Kirriemuir, Friockheim, Wellbank, Brechin, Newtyle, Carnoustie, Birkhill-Muirhead, Edzell & Edinburgh. When taking your driving test, Forfar has a test centre itself so you won’t be needing to travel to other towns in order to take your test. however, you are still welcome if you want to visit the test centres nearby. The nearest test centres would be situated in Dundee and Edinburgh when taking your test. Although they are far from Forfar, your instructor will take you to these places when it comes to your test. 

When doing your intensive course, the goal isn’t about the test, the aim is to make you a safe and confident driver and the test is there to only test your ability. If you need more information on different test centres, please visit our practical test centres index page.

Taking your theory test is as much important as taking your practical test. That’s why we are putting emphasis on both the theory and the practical test. Typically, a learner will purchase a theory guide or download a theory app and that would be enough. But sometimes it won’t suffice and it can lead to not passing the theory test in any desirable time frames.
