Beginner – You may look at our Gold / Platinum courses if you are just about to start your driving journey. At LPOD Academy, we have flexible courses for nervous drivers. These courses are ranging from 35 – 45 hours. These are suited for learners who have very little driving practice, or even those who have never driven before.
Intermediate – If you stopped your driving practice before for some reason, you may want to continue your driving journey by booking our Silver Courses. These courses will help you discover all the driving techniques and go over that all-important driving test sheet!
Experienced – Our Bronze courses will suit you best if you have recently failed your test and looking for a course to assess your current driving ability. These courses will help you keep the momentum going especially if you have failed a test. Your driving instructor will help you become the best version of yourself for your test.
Freshwater is based on the PO40 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Around Freshwater are other places/settlements such as Norton Green, Pound Green, Totland, Easton, Freshwater Bay, Afton, Norton, Thorley, Wellow & Ningwood. If you’re based in these areas too, home pick up could be possible, enquire to know more about your area!

Our driving school in Freshwater is designed to give our learner drivers the very best start to life on the road.
Freshwater does not have a test centre itself. Taking your practical test will require you to travel to other nearby test centres that would be located in Isle of Wight and there is one in Southampton too. Prior to taking your test, your driving instructor will take you to these test centres.
To make sure you’re test standard and are familiar with the area is the main goal with every intensive course. To know more about the different test centres, please consider browsing through our practical test centres index page.
Freshwater does not have its own theory test centre, this will require travel to the nearby test centres that would be situated in Isle of Wight. You cannot book a practical until you’ve passed the theory test, that’s why taking a theory test is very important.
With all our driving courses in Freshwater, we don’t mind if you have not passed your theory yet. We like to take on learners who have not got their theory as we believe it’s just as important as the practical test.
With all our driving courses above 20 hours, we will feature a free retest if you don’t pass your driving the first time.

How Do I Choose The Best Course For Me?
All our courses are designed around 47 hours being the average a learner would need. We take into consideration your previous driving experience and then recommend the difference. Of course, there are many factors that contribute to each recommendation.
Is home pickup provided?
Yes, home pickup is provided with all courses. If you're based in a rural area, it's best to give us a call or drop us an email to see if home pickup is possible!
Should I book early?
Booking early is always better as you will have more choice of dates. The earlier you book, the more time you'll have to pass your theory & for us to secure you a good practical test date!
Can I pass my theory with you?
Absolutely! If you need to include & do your theory as part of your intensive course, then we can add this to your booking.
Do you allow breaks in your courses?
Yes, breaks will be given roughly at the halfway point of training sessions. If you prefer to not have any breaks, then we can make a not of this upon your booking with us!
