Choosing The Right Course For You in Great Dunmow...

Establishing which course you need is vital to ensure you’re prepared for your driving test. If you’re unsure about which course is best for you, then here is a brief guide on what to look for, depending on your current circumstance. Below is a brief description of 3 levels and one of these will apply to you dependant on your current driving background. If you need us to recommend a course, then you can either use our course recommender quiz or call us on 0800 112 3515!

Beginner – If you have no or very little driving experience in a car, then you may need to look at our Platinum / Gold courses. These are designed to help you cover all of the driving topics and go from A – Z in the driving syllabus. Usually, these courses will last over 2 or more weeks. If you need to book time off or have limited time for these courses, then booking in advance is better as you can secure more preferable dates!

Intermediate – If you have some practice or had lessons a while ago, then you are almost there & ready to take a test. But a medium-sized course will help close the gap between where you’re currently at to becoming test standard.

Experienced – Courses for experienced drivers usually need our Bronze courses. If you have failed a driving test and need a quick refresher course to crack on with your test, then this is right for you. If you have lots of training and not had much test training either, these courses are good to overview your driving and go over any bad habits, areas of weakness, prior to your driving test.

Practical Test Centres Near Great Dunmow

Taking a driving test will require traveling to Chelmsford or Basildon test centres. Although these are far from your home town of Great Dunmow, all our courses will include the instructor taking you to your practical test at these centres!

Theory Test Centres Near Great Dunmow

Passing your theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without it, taking a practical test is impossible. We put as much emphasis on the theory as we do the practical. Typically, a learner will purchase a theory guide or download a theory app and that would be enough. But sometimes it won’t suffice and it can lead to not passing the theory test in any desirable time frames.

So as part of all our intensive courses in Great Dunmow, learners like yourself will be able to access our free theory course included with all bookings. It’s a video-based theory course to help you become more confident with the theory test!

Great Dunmow does not have a theory test centre itself. The nearest theory test centre would be situated in Chelmsford.

    Frequently Asked Questions...

Are theory training courses available at your driving school?

Yes. We actually have our very own online theory training course that we guarantee to help every learner to pass the first time. This is FREE to all course candidates or can be purchased separately for a small fee.

When is the best time to start the course?

We may be able to offer an earlier start date on some occasions but we can advise you to start the course in no less than 4 weeks. We also advise a month if you have not got your theory so we can have enough time to plan everything from passing your theory test and we can source a test date for you.

    How do your courses run?

We typically start on a Monday and run through towards the test day. Each course is designed to cater to flexibility and is unique to each individual. Training sessions can be between 3-6 hours daily!

Does my instructor accompany me to my test centre?

Absolutely. Our driving instructor will accompany you to your driving test centre and help you to be familiar with the roads upon traveling to the centre.

I am nervous, can you help me?

Of course. We have all kinds of learner drivers with nerves and anxiety and we do the best we can to help them with their test. Please feel free to give us a call on 0800 112 3515 to see how we can help you today.
