If you’re unsure about which course is best for you, then here is a brief guide on what to look for, depending on your current circumstance. Below is a brief description of 3 levels and one of these will apply to you based on your current driving background. Beginner – You may look at our Gold / Platinum courses if you are just about to start your driving journey. At LPOD Academy, we have flexible courses for nervous drivers. These courses are ranging from 35 – 50 hours. These are suited for learners who have very little driving practice, or even those who have never driven before.Â
Intermediate – If you have some practice or had lessons a while ago, then you are almost there & ready to take a test. But a medium-sized course will help close the gap between where you’re currently at to becoming test standard.
Experienced – Courses for experienced drivers usually need our Bronze courses. If you have failed a driving test and need a quick refresher course to crack on with your test, then this is right for you. If you have lots of training and have not had much test training either, these courses are good to overview your driving and go over any bad habits, or areas of weakness, prior to your driving test.

Taking a driving test will require traveling to Sunderland or Middlesbrough test centres. Although these are far from your home town of Murton, all our courses will include the instructor taking you to your practical test at these centres!

Passing your theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without it, taking a practical test is impossible. We put as much emphasis on the theory as we do the practical. Typically, a learner will purchase a theory guide or download a theory app and that would be enough. But sometimes it won’t suffice and it can lead to not passing the theory test in any desirable time frames.

How Do I Choose The Best Course For Me?
All our courses are designed around 47 hours being the average a learner would need. We take into consideration your previous driving experience and then recommend the difference. Of course, there are many factors that contribute to each recommendation.
I live in a rural location. Can I get home pick-up?
Yes. However, sometimes we may need to have another plan or solution if you live outside of a service sector for a driving instructor. If this is the case, we will contact you and discuss your options.
Should I book early?
Booking early is always better as you will have more choice of dates. The earlier you book, the more time you'll have to pass your theory & for us to secure you a good practical test date!
Can I pass my theory with you?
Absolutely! If you need to include & do your theory as part of your intensive course, then we can add this to your booking.
Do you allow breaks in your courses?
Yes, breaks will be given roughly at the halfway point of training sessions. If you prefer to not have any breaks, then we can make a not of this upon your booking with us!
