Rochester is a large town based in the county of Kent, with a population of 60,000 residents. Charles Dickens admires Rochester and has written novels based on the area who also own the Gad Hills Place in Higham. Based on the river Medway, there are many bridges that connect Rochester to the other side into Higham, Wainscott and Strood.
The roads will be mainly busy during the most part of the day, especially with the M2 motorway nearby. With Chatham, Gillingham and Gravesend nearby. The urban area of Rochester is a lot larger if you include all the local principalities as well. Your course will also consist of driving in the countryside. With nearby villages such as Wainscott, Upnor, Lower Upnor, Cuxton, Wouldham, Burham, Cliffe Woods, Higham and Halling.
Rochester itself does not have a test centre, but Gillingham, based east of Rochester does. Your driving instructor will take you to Gillingham nearer the end of your course to prepare for the driving test.
