Are you unsure what course to take when deciding to do an intensive course? When deciding to do an intensive course, it is important to find out which course is best for you. You will need to the first workout where you’re at with your driving if you’re unsure of what course is best for you. Below are some descriptions labeled as beginner, intermediate & experienced. Beginner – If you’re turing 17 soon and you have very little driving practice or have never driven a car before, you may look at our Gold / Platinum range of courses. Beginner courses are suitable for the new candidate who is keen to start off on the right path of driving. If you need to book time off or have limited time for these courses, then booking in advance is better as you can secure more preferable dates!
Intermediate – Are you frustrated because you’ve been driving on and off lately? Our Silver intensive courses may be best for you. These courses are designed to help you catch up to where you are currently at and help you continue your driving journey to the very end. We will help you go over the all-important driving test sheets to have a better chance of passing your test.
Experienced – Have you driven abroad and need to transfer to a UK licence or do you need to pass your driving test as you have one booked? No matter what your situation is, we can help. Our Bronze courses are curated to make all learner drivers test standard before they go to test. We can book in the hours around your schedule and book your practical test for the end of your course too.
Sandown is based on the PO36 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Around Sandown are other places/settlements such as Danville, Hampstead, Chester, Atkinson, Kingston, Raymond, Derry, Plaistow, Newton & Epping. When taking your driving test, Sandown has no test centre so when you take your test, it will require you to travel to the nearby test centres such as Portsmouth and Southampton. Although they are quite far from Sandown, your instructor will take you to these places when it comes to your test.
When doing your intensive course, the goal isn’t about the test, the goal is to make you a safe and confident driver and the test is there to only test your ability. If you need more information on different test centres, please also consider looking at our practical test centres index page.
You will receive training in the town where your test is booked for and be prepared throughout your course. Sandown does not have a test centre so you will need to travel to the nearby centre that would be situated in Portsmouth.
Passing your theory test is important as you cannot book a practical without it. We include an online course that will help you understand and pass the theory test successfully. These will help you pass the theory test easily. Passing the theory test is vital when organising an intensive so we put lots of emphases too.

Do you advise booking early?
Yes. The earlier, the better. When you book early, you can choose better dates that work for you. It also gives us better chances of finding you the ideal test date.
Are there any breaks in the training?
Breaks are part of the training too! Your driving instructor will keep an eye on your progress at all times.
What happens if I fail my driving test?
If you failed your test, the first thing we will do is rebook you a test. We will book you another test asap depending on your booking. Your driving instructor will assess how many extra lessons you will need prior to taking your next test.
Once I have completed my course, is my deposit refundable?
The deposit is part of the whole course cost. We will be able to arrange if you wanted to cancel outside of the course cancellation conditions.
What happens if my course is affected by a pandemic or something similar?
This will depend on the nature of what’s affecting your course. If such things were to happen, we will always have material on our website that will explain the process.
