Driving On The Roads In Wakefield

Wakefield is a large urban town based in West Yorkshire. With a population 100,000 residents, it can get busy during peak times of the day which will test your ability when meeting oncoming traffic. Wakefield is positioned south of the major city of Leeds which makes the M1 motorway generally busy. You also have access to many high-speed carriageways like the Doncaster Road, A650 and the M1 motorway.

During your crash course in Wakefield, you may visit other nearby places to get a wide range of driving experience. Places like Dewsbury, Leeds and Castleford could be other towns and cities you visit. Your course will also include a visit to local villages to get country and rural experience in places like Kirkthorpe, Wrenthorpe, Kirkhamgate, Flushdyke, Ossett, Carr Gate, Horbury, Walton, Durkar, Calder Grove, Crigglestone, Chapelthorpe, Newmillerdam, Crofton, Stanley, Altofts and Normanton.

During the latter stages, you will travel around Wakefield practising the routes through a mock test examination. Your driving instructor will prepare you for your driving test by taking you around Wakefield and letting you know of the common areas where learners fail.

    Frequently Asked Questions...

I'm nervous can I do an intensive driving course and how will I be helped?

This is a very good question! Of course. Anyone can do an intensive driving course. We do encourage people with chronic anxiety to consider semi-intensive and we will plan their training accordingly. We have an online course solely for our students that has been created by a NLP practitioner level 5! This course will help with your nerves and help calm you when you come into difficult or more challenging topics! Our driving instructors are very skilled and experienced when it comes to nervous students. We will look after you every step of the way.

How much will my course be?

This depends on many factors! How many hours you do, where you live and what features you add to your course. You can get an instant quote on our booking page 24/7! Check out our daily offers and complete your course booking either on the phone or online!

    Do you have female instructors?

Yes. Please call our office to see if we have females in your area on 0800 112 3515!

Do I need to pass my theory before I book an intensive course?

No. We can guide you through the process. We have our own in-house online theory training course where we have a 92% pass rate on our students attempting their theory for the first time! Of course, you do NEED to apply yourself, but we will walk you through every step of the way!

I live in a village, can I get picked up from my home?

Yes. Although 1% of candidates may live a bit too far for some of our driving instructors. This is a very low few. However, if we feel we can't offer home pick-up we will find a solution that works for you and of course the driving instructor.

How long are the training days?

We aim to do approximately 3-6 hours of training on pre day. This does depend on your particular course booked.
