When you embark on your intensive driving course in Watlington you will start with the basics and slowly practice more challenging topics. As Watlington is small in population, with around 2,700 residents, it only provides you with a small selection of roads to learn in. It is good to start off with but you will more than likely need to go out of town to more larger towns that have more roads such as roundabouts, junctions, one-ways and busier streets.
As Watlington is a town by definition, it is possibly considered a village by some by its very small population. Watlington is near the Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve which makes it a passing town for commuters. Your course is more than likely going to be spread across many towns and villages. You may visit Pyrton, Shirburn, Britwell Baldwin, Brightwell Upperton, Christmas Common and Lewknor.
Although you may be in Watlington during the majority of your course, do expect to travel to towns such as Thame, Wallingford a Didcot during your one-week intensive driving course in Watlington. The nearest driving test centre is based in Oxford. Again, some of your course hours will be allocated to learning the roads of Oxford and surrounding areas.
