Practical test centre in Farnborough

By car, the M3 is the main route in; take Junction 4 if you are coming from London or the south, then follow the A331 and signs for Farnborough. Farnborough Airport, and the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum nearby, are useful landmarks once you’re close. By rail, Farnborough Main Station sits on the South Western Railway line between London Waterloo and Basingstoke, with buses connecting the town centre to nearby Aldershot and Camberley for those without a direct route. If you are flying in for any reason, note that Farnborough Airport caters mainly to private aviation, so Heathrow or Gatwick, followed by a train or car transfer, is the practical option for most travellers.

Test routes here tend to move quickly between the town’s residential streets and the busier roads near the M3 junction, so candidates who have mostly practised in slower traffic often find that shift the hardest part of the test. Bronze 10 is a good fit for learners needing a shorter, focused top-up on exactly that transition, while Silver 25 allows more lessons for those starting further back.
