Practical test centre in Norwich (Peachman Way)

The Peachman Way test centre sits inside Broadland Business Park on the eastern edge of Norwich, close to where the A47 meets the A1042. It is a different site from the Jupiter Road centre on the other side of the city, and candidates are usually booked into whichever has availability rather than choosing between them. A car test here runs to the same national 40-minute format as any other DVSA centre, though the roads immediately around the site are quite different from those used at Jupiter Road. Because Peachman Way has no on-site parking or toilets, LPOD Academy makes sure learners testing here know exactly what to expect before the day itself, not just how to drive the roads.

Practical Test Centre Address

The test centre is DVSA Norwich Driving Test Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF. Parking is not available on site, so check nearby business park facilities before you arrive. There is no access to toilets. Disabled access is not provided at this centre; candidates who need step-free or accessible facilities should check with DVSA about testing from the Jupiter Road centre instead. Car tests and motorcycle tests are both conducted here. Bring your provisional licence and theory test pass certificate number, and arrive with enough time to park nearby and walk in. As with any DVSA test, expect a tell me and show me vehicle safety question, and remember the test allows up to 15 minor faults before failing, with a single serious or dangerous fault ending the test immediately.

How To Get To Norwich (Peachman Way) Test Centre

Approaching from the west, the A47 carries most of the traffic towards this side of Norwich, and once it meets Ipswich Road, the route continues on to the turn-off for Broadland Business Park. That turn-off is effectively the landmark to look for, since Peachman Way itself sits within the business park rather than on a through road. Drivers from the north or east typically join the A1042, which runs close to the business park and connects it to the rest of the city’s ring road network.

Because Peachman Way is set within a business park rather than a residential area, test routes here often start with lower-speed manoeuvring around the park itself before heading out onto the A47 or A1042 for faster driving. An LPOD Academy intensive course, such as Bronze 15 or Gold 40, practises this exact sequence, since starting slow and finishing fast catches learners out if they have only ever driven the reverse pattern. Deposits start from £180 depending on the course length you book.

Business park roads also empty out noticeably outside office hours, so instructors running a consecutive-day course here will often mix lesson times deliberately, some during the working day when Peachman Way itself is busier with commuter traffic, others outside those hours when the surrounding A47 and A1042 stretches are clearer, so a learner sees both extremes before their actual test.

Most candidates here come from Norwich itself, with some travelling from Wymondham and the surrounding south Norfolk villages. Because there is no parking directly at the centre, allow extra time to find a spot within the business park and walk the rest of the way, particularly during the working week when the park itself is busy with commuters. Since 12 May 2026, DVSA test bookings, changes and cancellations must be made by the candidate directly, so keep your account details safe for the whole of your course. For a wider look at booking and test-day essentials, see our guide to how intensive courses work. Every test also includes one set manoeuvre selected on the day, whether that is a parallel park, a bay park, or pulling up on the right and reversing back before rejoining traffic, and the quieter business park roads give the examiner a realistic, low-risk spot to ask for it. DVSA’s minimum ten working day gap between test attempts applies here too, so a resit at Peachman Way still leaves enough time to book extra lessons focused on the business park approach before trying again.

Why Book With LPOD Academy?

Can LPOD book my practical test at this centre for me?
No. Since 12 May 2026, only you can book, change or manage your DVSA practical test. LPOD provides test date support instead: centre and timing guidance as standard, plus an optional Test Alerts + Booking Strategy add-on (£50) if you’d like us actively watching for earlier dates and helping you plan around them.

Which course should I choose before my test?
It depends on your experience. Complete beginners usually start with a Gold or Platinum course, while learners who have already had lessons or sat a test before often suit a Silver or Bronze course. Try our course recommendation tool for a personal suggestion.

Are LPOD instructors qualified?
Yes. Every LPOD instructor is a DVSA-approved ADI, paid full market rates, so you get a properly qualified instructor rather than the cheapest bidder.
