Drivers should take the A12 and leave at junction 27, following the signs into the town centre where the test centre is based. Anyone arriving by train can get off at Colchester Town station and either walk the short distance or take a quick taxi. Bus passengers have two starting points to choose from: frequent services run from both Colchester North station and the main bus terminal into the centre.
Whichever route you take, aim to arrive with a buffer of time built in, since DVSA marks latecomers as a no-show and the fee is not refunded.
