Directions To Centre
If you are staying overnight nearby, check your accommodation is within easy reach of Beach Road so the walk to the centre does not eat into your morning. By car, follow the A149 towards Cromer town centre and take the exit for Beach Road, where the test centre is close by. Train travellers can take a service to Cromer station, a short walk from the centre. If you are coming by bus, head for Cromer’s main bus station and follow the road signs for the last short stretch on foot.
Coastal roads around Cromer can be slower than they look on a map, particularly in summer, so allow extra time rather than cutting the journey fine. You will need your provisional licence with you regardless of how you travel in, since DVSA cannot run the test without it. After passing, remember that from 12 May 2026 only you, the candidate, can book or manage your DVSA practical test, so keep your own GOV.UK account details safe for that step. As a small coastal centre, Cromer does not always have the same volume of slots as a city venue, so book well ahead if you have a preferred date.
