There are 50 multiple-choice questions to work through, with 43 needed to pass, and then 14 hazard perception clips, where the pass mark is 44 out of a possible 75. Each candidate sits alone at an individual booth rather than in a shared room, and bags and phones stay in a locker for the duration. Bring photo ID that matches your booking, be it a provisional licence or passport, since staff check this before letting anyone through. You’ll get the result straight after finishing rather than having to wait days for it to arrive. If your first attempt doesn’t go your way, DVSA requires a wait of at least three working days before you’re able to book a resit, so build that into any revision plan.
