Beginner – If you are new to driving, our Gold / Platinum range of courses is best for you. These courses are designed to help you pass your driving test quicker than conventional weekly driving lessons. Usually, these courses can take up to 2 – 3 weeks depending on a few circumstances and will inevitably require you to book time off or be available for a good portion of the day.
Intermediate – Our Silver courses are suited for learners who are confident enough and who have had approximately 20 hours of driving experience. This course will help yourself in closing the gap between where you’re currently at with your driving to becoming test standard.
Experienced – Have you driven abroad and need to transfer to a UK licence or do you need to pass your driving test as you have one booked? No matter what your situation is, we can help. Our Bronze courses are curated to make all learner drivers test standard before they go to test. We can book in the hours around your schedule and book your practical test for the end of your course too.
Darlaston is based on the WS10 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. Darlaston has no local test centre itself. So taking your driving test will require you to travel to other places/towns. If you’re living outside the town, you can travel to Dudley or Wolverhampton test centres to take your test. Although these are far from your home town, all our driving instructors will take you to your practical test at these centres!

Darlaston does not have its own theory test centre, this will require you to travel to the nearest test centre when you take your test. The nearest centre would be situated in Dudley. You cannot book a practical until you’ve passed the theory test, that’s why taking a theory test is very important.
At LPOD Academy, we don’t mind if you have not passed your theory yet. We like to take on learners who have not got their theory as we believe it’s just as important as the practical test.
If you don’t pass the first time, you will be given the free retest featured in all our driving courses above 20 hours.

Intensive courses do require some flexibility to be successful. However, you can get in touch with us and we can go through all the options to see how we can plan a driving course around your needs.
Do you allow breaks in the training?
Your driving instructor will keep an eye on your progress at all times. Fortunately, breaks are part of the training too!
What happens if I fail my driving test?
If you failed your test, the first thing we will do is rebook you a test. We will book you another test asap depending on your booking. Your driving instructor will assess how many extra lessons you will need prior to taking your next test.
