Felixstowe is a small port town based on the east coast of England. Felixstowe is the UK’s largest container port in the UK. With a population of 23, 700 this moderately sized town enjoys lots of residential and urban areas, dual carriageways and of course lots of country lanes. It is the last town off the A14 to the east of the country. Dubbed the trunk road to the east! There are no local motorways, but the A14 can be just as busy! When taking an intensive driving course in Felixstowe it is important to be able to gain all the experience you will need to become a safe, legal and confident driver. Once you have mastered the basics, you will need to travel out of town to learn more complex driving topics. These can include places like Ipswich, Harwich and Woodbridge.
Once you have gained the basics and are more confident your driving instructor will take you out of Felixstowe to conduct some lessons in the local area. This will help with your out-of-town driving practice and especially your independent driving. Nearby local areas you may drive to include Pin Mill, Harwich, Martlesham, Bramford, Needham Market, Orford, Claydon, Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham, Debenham, Stonham Aspal, Stowmarket, Hadleigh, Wivenhoe, Marks Tey, Brightlingsea, Mersea Island.
Your local theory test centre is in Ipswich. Your local driving test centre is in Ipswich also. Of course, there are other driving test centres, but you will need to talk with your driving instructor to determine the best centre for you. The remaining course hours will be used to get you ready for your driving test. You will need to become confident driving around Ipswich test centre routes, and of course, at the end, you will have your driving test.
