Establishing which course you need is vital to ensure you’re prepared for your driving test. If you’re unsure about which course is best for you, then here is a brief guide on what to look for, depending on your current circumstance. Below is a brief description of 3 levels and one of these will apply to you dependant on your current driving background. Beginner – If you have no or very little driving experience with a car, then you may need to look at our Platinum / Gold courses. These are designed to help you cover all of the driving topics and go from A – Z in the driving syllabus. Usually, these courses will last over 2 or more weeks. If you need to book time off or have limited time for these courses, then booking in advance is better as you can secure more preferable dates!
Intermediate – If you have some practice or had lessons a while ago, then you are almost there & ready to take a test. But a medium-sized course will help close the gap between where you’re currently at to becoming test standard.
Experienced – Courses for experienced drivers usually need our Bronze courses. If you have failed a driving test and need a quick refresher course to crack on with your test, then this is right for you. If you have lots of training and have not had much test training either, these courses are good to overview your driving and go over any bad habits, areas of weakness, prior to your driving test.
Hampton Wick is based on the KT1 postcode and all of the other surrounding villages. When taking your driving test, Hampton Wick has no test centre itself, so taking your test will be requiring you to travel to other nearby test centres. You can take your test at Guildford and Slough. Although they are far from your hometown of Hampton Wick, your instructor will take you to these places when it comes to your test.

Passing the theory test is the first step in everyone’s learning journey. Without taking the theory test, booking a practical test is impossible. LPOD Academy is putting as much emphasis on the theory as we do with the practical.
All of our intensive driving courses include a theory test to help you pass it before you start your intensive courses.
As Hampton Wick has no theory test centre., taking your test will require you to travel to the nearby test centre that would be located in Guildford.

Do you advise booking early?
The earlier, the better. When you book early, you can choose better dates that work for you. It also gives us better chances of finding you the ideal test date.
Do you allow breaks in the training?
Breaks are part of the training too! Your driving instructor will keep an eye on your progress at all times.
What happens if I fail my driving test?
If you failed your test, the first thing we will do is rebook you a test. We will book you another test asap depending on your booking. Your driving instructor will assess how many extra lessons you will need prior to taking your next test.
Once I completed my course, is my deposit refundable?
The deposit is part of the whole course cost. We will be able to arrange if you wanted to cancel outside of the course cancellation conditions.
What happens if my course is affected by a pandemic or something similar?
This will depend on the nature of what’s affecting your course. If such things were to happen, we will always have material on our website that will explain the process.
