Deposits run from £180 up to £900 depending on how many hours you book, and the larger figure only applies to the biggest courses, so a shorter package needs a smaller deposit. The remaining balance is arranged after booking, once your dates are confirmed and your course is underway, rather than paid all at once up front. Choosing your course length

The right length comes down to how much driving you have already done. If you are starting from scratch with little or no experience, the Bronze range covers the fundamentals, car control, clutch work and basic junctions, and the Bronze 10 or Bronze 15 course is where most complete beginners begin. Learners with a bit of road time behind them usually move into the Silver range at 20, 25 or 30 hours, which adds roundabouts, busier roads and the decision-making that has to become automatic before a test.
