Bring your provisional licence and test confirmation; since 12 May 2026, DVSA rules mean only the candidate can book and manage their own practical test, so check the booking details are correct if an instructor originally set the appointment up.
How To Get To Gillingham Test Centre
The M2 motorway is the fastest route in, leaving at junction 4 for the A278 before joining the A2 and following signs into Gillingham. That stretch of motorway and dual carriageway gives useful practice for the higher-speed sections examiners include on routes out of Consort Way, before the roads tighten up closer to the Medway City Estate itself. Southeastern trains from London Victoria or St Pancras International run directly, with the fastest services taking just over an hour, useful for anyone combining a lesson block with travel from further afield.
From Gillingham station, most local attractions and the test centre area are within a short distance, and bus routes such as the 101 and 182 connect nearby towns for anyone without a car on the day.
