Okehampton is a small town based in the county of Dorset. It was originally founded by the Saxons back in the 980 AD and has served residents in the local vicinity ever since. With a population of 5,000+ residents, the town will contain many roads in residential, commercial and industrial places.
The A30 dual-carriageway or known as the Okehampton Bypass runs through the south of the town, connecting it to many other places like Exeter, Launceston and Newton Abbot. More than likely, you’ll visit other towns and villages to practice on more roads and use the dual-carriageway along the way. Some of the local villages you will visit are Belstone, Sticklepath, Folly Gate, Iwardleigh, Meldon, Thorndon Cross, Boasley Cross, Sourton and South Zeal.
Your driving test will be booked in either Exeter or Launceston. You will be driving in the town where your test is based and conduct your test preparation there.
