St Neots is a moderately sized town in the country of Cambridgeshire, neighbouring Bedfordshire to the west. It has a population of 30,000 people making it a fair place to learn to drive with a bit of traffic during rush hour. The River Great Ouse runs through the centre of the town separating Eaton Ford and Eynesbury which were once villages but are now part of St Neots.

The A1 dual-carriageway runs to the north connecting St Neots to Huntingdon to the north. And the A421, further than the A1 heads towards Bedford where the nearest test centre is located. Near St Neots is St Ives, Bourne and Cambourne which you may visit during the longevity of your intensive driving course in St Neots.

Your instructor will also get you to visit other local villages outside of St Neots such as Hall Weston, Little Paxton, Duloe, Eaton Socon, Wyboston, Honeydon, Begwary, Chawston, Abbotsley and Little Barford.

You will travel to Cardington, Bedford to practice some of the local test routes and drive around the town to familiarise yourself with the roads.

When you embark on a crash course in St Neots, you are one step away from becoming a fully fledged driver. You will be taught the basics all the way to the dreaded parallel park. All areas of driving and the test will be covered. And your instructor will prioritise training for the areas you are not so confident on.

Your driving instructor will be teaching you to drive in St Neots predominantly. On some occasions, you will go out of the area to other urban settlements to get a wider flavour of roads, pedestrians and vehicle types etc.

Cardington, Bedford is the nearest test centre to St Neots. You’ll be taken there during the last few hours of your course to go through the driving test procedure, practice the test manoeuvres such as the pulling up on the right-hand side of the road, parallel parking and bay parking front and back.

With all course bookings, you have a free retest. If you don’t pass the first time, we will pay for a second test and book at your local driving test centre.
