Street is a large village in Somerset. With a population of 11,000, it is actually bigger than its neighbour town of Glastonbury! It is well known for its Clarks outlet village shopping precinct! Street is a civil parish and is a quaint southwest place to visit. With sprawling hills and lanes, and narrow cobbled streets, Street is a quaint place to learn to drive. In the summer months, the scenery in Street and the surrounding areas are fantastic. When you choose to do an intensive driving course in Street you will not only become a great driver – you will also, get to know the local areas. Once you have been taught the basics, you will venture further afield to places like Glastonbury, Wells and Bridgwater to practice more complex areas of driving.
Of course, you will also need to learn other areas of driving also. Street is a great place to start, but it is limited to the training options, after all, there are not many complex roundabouts or crossroads. Once you are ready, you will explore the local area to develop your route planning skills and independent driving. These areas may include High Ham, Compton Dundon, Baltonsborough, Meare, Godney, West Pennard, North Wootton, Butleigh, Podimore, Lydford-on-fosse, Alford, Athelney, Pitcombe, North Newton, Chapel Allerton, Brent Knoll, North Petherton, Green Ore, Fivehead, Puriton, Wookey Hole, Frome, Stourton, Warminster.
Once you are nearing the end of your course, you will be saving the remaining hours for your driving test practice and test driving routes. More than likely at Yeovil driving test centre. Yeovil itself is a largish town and has many complex roundabouts, junctions and some crossroads. It is quite hilly, so your hill starts will definitely be practiced. The test centre has over 20 driving tests routes, that congregate in and around Yeovil. You may even travel towards the A37, A303 and the A35!
