Test Rescue Courses

Test Rescue Packages

Our test rescue courses focus on the preparation of the exam itself. Our bronze-10 or our bronze-15 hour courses helps prepare a student to pass their driving test.

When a pupil learns to drive – they will progress through their driving lessons on a planned programme of tuition. Once they have attained a certain level of expertise and confidence, the learner will naturally progress onto driving independently.

The final phase of learning to drive is what we refer to as the ‘fault analysis’ phase. This typically is where the pupil identifies their own mistakes and makes a plan to rectify any bad points within their driving. Self-reflection is a major component when it comes to becoming an independent driver.

Over time, these mistakes become fewer and the learner driver evolves into a confident and wiser driver through experience and reflection.

Our test rescue courses focus on this element in great detail. The pupil will be encouraged to identify their own mistakes by their driving instructor as opposed to being told what their weak areas are. This enables the learner driver to broaden their understanding and seek resolutions to certain aspects of their own driving. Whilst also being mindful of the actions of others – which is greatly magnified in this phase of learning.

Our test rescue phase concentrates on the driving test syllabus and can include the following:

  1. Self-analysis / habits/ attitudes / skill
  2. Fault identification and remedy
  3. Awareness and anticipation
  4. Mock driving tests
  5. Independent driving/ sat nav
  6. Route planning
  7. Complex junctions including roundabouts
  8. Local route training

Again, this can vary based on the individual learner driver’s needs. Our test rescue courses focus on the practical exam whilst broadening skills on becoming a more skilled independent driver. Our test rescue courses are not for pupils who still have unfinished training on the core syllabus of learning to drive.
